Amer Fort

Amer Fort

The city of Amer was built by Maharaja Jai Singh and Sawai Jai Singh and this city was made as the capital in 1727. The fort is completely decorated and done with rich stone and architectural works with more carve works makes beautiful impression at the first sight.

The Diwan e-Khas is used for the Private Audience with beautiful mosaic glass work is a pleasure to watch. This is the place where the king met and important issues are discussed. The beautiful Amer fort which is completely built by red sandstone and white marble stands as an architectural wonder. The Amer fort houses many other beautiful masterpieces and wonderful creations which includes Sheesh Mahal, Jai Mandir, The Sukh Niwas etc. The Amer fort is a complex which consists of two ancient temples such as Kali temple and Shila Mata Temple.

Jaigarh Fort

The Jaigarh fort is located in the pink city of Jaipur built during the period of Maharaja Sawai Jaisingh and stands tall with lot of history behind. The Jaigarh Fort is located in one of the peaks of the Aravalli hills this beautiful fort is located just 15 km away from the Jaipur city and it provides an excellent view of Aravalli hills.

The Jaigarh fort has the world’s largest cannon on wheels which has 20ft long barrel which can be pumped in one shot, and millions of people come to see this amazing architectural work. The Jaigrah fort complex consists of Laxmi Vilas, Lalit Mandir, Vilas Mandir and Aram Mandir that is embedded within the fort. The Shubhat Niwas which is known as the assembly hall of warriors has the armory of the soldiers. The Jaigarh Fort gives some wonderful views of Jaipur city and Amber Fort from the Diwa Burj watchtower. The beautiful architecture of the palace, gardens, granary, armory with stunning collection of arms and weapons are rare to notice.

The Hawa Mahal which was built during 1799 by Maharaja Sawai Pratap Singh and it is one of the most famous monuments in Jaipur. This beautiful wonder of Jaipur is built fully of red and pink sandstone. The hawa mahal was built by Maharaja Sawai Jai singh during 1727 and this fort consists of 5 storied semi octagonal shapes with 152 windows and latticed over hanging balconies with pyramidal shaped monument at a height of 50 feet.

The top three floors of the structure have a dimension of one room width while the first and second floors have patios in front of them, on the rear side of the structure. The structure of the building has much elevation such as honeycomb web and in the form of beehive with small portholes. Each porthole has small windows. The royal family ladies see the market proceedings and the royal processions through these small windows.

The Chittorgarh Fort emphasis true tragic history and valor of the people. This fort not only shows the romance, chivalry but also shows the glory of the Rajputs in many ways. This fort has been constructed in 280 hectares located at 180 m height. The surrounding of the Chittorgarh’s palaces, with ancient architectural temples, towers show the beautiful works which show the past history in a beautiful manner.

The historic and beautiful Chittaurgarh Fort was built during the 6th century by Chitrangad, a Mori Rajput ruler. This fort was built in a special Rajput tradition to have the protection from all the sides. The Chittaurgarh Fort has witnessed many battles during the 14th century. The historic battles were by Sultan Bahdaur Shah of Gujarat, great Mughal ruler Akbar in 1567. The massive entrance gates of Chittorgarh fort is surrounded with has seven massive gates and two towers Kirti Stambh and Vijay Stambh. The fort also had several temples, reservoirs and palaces that were built from the 9th and 17th centuries

Umaid Bhawan Palace is considered as one of the world's largest private residences and proudly named after Maharaja Umaid Singh. This immense beautiful palace has become the trademark for Jodhpur city. This palace is completely built by marble and creamy-pink sandstone without the use of mortar. The Mehrangarh was built by Rao Jodha in 1459. Mehrangarh Fort, Jodhpur is one of the largest forts in forts. It is also the most magnificent fort in Jodhpur, infact, in the whole Rajasthan. The fort is amongst the popular tourist places in India. It is situated on a 150 m high hill. The Mehrangarh Fort can be reached from the city, 5 kms below, through a circular road.

This Junagarh fort was built during 1587 by Rai Singh. Located in Bikaner this Junagarh Fort was mainly used to protect from the enemies. This fort has 986 m long sandstone wall surrounded all round to have protection to the city.

This fort has 37 bastions guarding with two gates entrance pathway always protects the fort and the city. The fort premises consists of 37 red sandstone marvels inside the of the fort, which include palaces with intricately carved windows, beautiful balconies, towers , temples and pavilions. The highlights of the fort are Chandra Mahal, decorated beautifully with mirrors, paintings and carved marble panels, the Phool Mahal, the Karan Mahal and the multi-storeyed Anup Mahal, which was once used as the governance chambers for the rulers. The Ganga Niwas, Dungar Niwas, Vijai Mahal and Rang Mahal are also fine examples beautiful architectures of the ancient times.

The City Palace of Jaipur is a collection of royal articles belonging to the raja-maharajas of the past era. The palace complex, which is located northeast of the centre of the grid patterned Jaipur city, incorporates an impressive and vast array of courtyards, gardens and buildings. The palace was built between 1729 and 1732, initially by Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber.
